- We collect your name, mobile number, and consent record — to text you jobs.
- We never sell your data, and we never share your number for anyone else’s marketing.

- We keep consent records for 4 years to comply with the TCPA.
Who we are
Gig Scout is a service of The Work App, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company based in Chicago. The Work App, LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy and is the party you consent to receive messages from.
What we collect
When you opt in we collect your first name, mobile number, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and the time, IP address, and browser of that consent. We use this to send you job messages and to comply with US telemarketing law.
How we use it
To text you about jobs, pay guidance, and interview prep, and to keep a legally required record of your consent and any opt-out. Scout is an AI, not a person, and not for emergencies.
What we never do with your number
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf, such as message delivery, is permitted solely to operate the service. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any Scout message to stop permanently within seconds. We keep a record of the opt-out for audit only.
Your data rights
You can request access to or deletion of your data. Text DELETE MY DATA or email privacy@theworkapp.ai. We honor deletion except where we must retain consent evidence to comply with the law.
Data retention
We retain consent and opt-out records for at least four years to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
If you interact with Scout on WhatsApp, Meta processes those messages under its own privacy terms in addition to this policy.
